Laser Welding- New CNC Capability

Laser Welding, welding

Btec has now added Laser welding to its list of internal capabilities. Laser welding is an expanding technology that is being specified by Design Engineers now more than ever. Laser beam welding is a newer welding technique that uses a laser to join many pieces of metal. The beam provides a concentrated heat source, allowing for narrow, deep welds and high welding rates. Our team of machinists are very excited to now use this laser welding technology for customer projects in Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Oil, Government Industries and much more.

Btec has purchased and installed a 300 Watt, ORLaser, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) welding unit in our 75,000 square foot warehouse.  The laser equipment is mobile, fully programmable, and capable of recording video as the welding takes place.  The use of laser welding at Btec will give our customers the options to use this technology to perform repairs to dies, molds or our other precision equipment.  Btec maintains and works with a complement of filler materials in stock, including Inconel, Titanium, Cobalt and others.

Btec’s goal is to maintain maximum flexibility, efficiency, innovation and uncompromising attention to quality in the metal manufacturing world and by adding this ORLaser, CNC welding unit, we are even closer than we had imagined. new technologies means we have the ability to do more work for our customers. Btec wants to be your one-stop-shop for everything you need for metal manufacturing.

If your business has a need for Laser welding, metal manufacturing, CNC machining, or overflow metal fabrication work, please write info@btecsolutions.com with information about your project, size of order, materials needed and one of our team members will get back to you shortly, to discuss the project. Our team is diverse with project management, engineers and machinists who are happy to help answer questions and figure out the complex scope of work for your needs.
