Tooling, also known as machine tooling, is the process of acquiring the manufacturing components and machines needed for full-scale manufacturing production. In Btec’s case the specialty of tool creation is specifically for the in-house machines and customization for our manufacturing products. Btec houses the many categories of machine tooling including fixtures, jigs, gauges, molds, dies, cutting equipment and patterns, ready to take on the next project.
A die is a specialized tool used in manufacturing to cut or shape material mostly using a press. Like molds, dies are generally custom created to accommodate the details they will create for the project. Products made with dies range in size from small items to complex pieces used in advanced technology. Btec, however, does not work with small sized items like nuts and bolts, or needles in the medical field. Btec’s machines are made for larger custom projects, from Aerospace items to automotive parts, consumer goods and metal products used in the Energy Industry.
Our Team has experienced engineering and design abilities, and work with highly skilled and dedicated toolmakers and craftsmen to meet your needs for precision metal projects. With our combination of skills and state-of-the-art equipment, we will design, build and debug your custom Tool and Die on site.
